Sacrificial White Lambs

I had purchased a pair of sandals and the first time I wore them, one of the bows fell off before I even reached the front door. So, I tore the bow off the other sandal and turned these pretty bows into something better, a set of hair barrettes. Honestly, those white sandals wouldn't have been white for long. I mounted them onto silver toned alligator style hair clips with some high quality jewelry glue. I believe the materials are a combination of rubber/jelly shoes/ plastic. They're the latest addition to my Etsy shop, DeniseDoesCouture. These are so cute, I'm a little jealous of whoever ends up buying them. Needless to say, these are one of a kind. I am very proud of them.

Here are some before photos of a project I'm currently working on up-cycling for my bathroom.

The more paper mâché I do, the more I love it. This is my paper mâché styrofoam mannequin head, which I plan to turn into a phrenology sculpture.

Paper mâché is so relaxing. It's my time during which I do a lot of thinking and at times, meditate.

Here's a mixed media project I finished a few weeks ago. So, I needed an extra shelf for my bookcase and my boyfriend accidentally picked up the wrong size shelf, and I decided to keep it for a project just like this, and here is that project. He still owes me a bookshelf 😉

I wrote a silly Haiku yesterday while I was bored and on Twitter (I'm tranquileyesher). Shameless self promotion Haiku:

I'm such a dork

Purple hair flowers for my Etsy shop today. I also added nine new rings. I'm probably going to be listing more items tomorrow too, depending on if I feel like tackling the product photography task. It takes a really really really really long time for me to get good product photos, that capture the exact shape and color and essence of a piece. Here's a little piece of my heart:
